Process used

Stairtreads:
19 +19mm heat soak tested toughened laminate with bespoke non-slip pattern sandblasted and acid brightened to top surface.

Balustrades:
15tmm toughened glass , clamped within stringers and with bespoke structural steelwork around perimeter of void.

Lantern:
Bespoke Calacatta Stone and laminated glass panels, mitred and UV bonded on corner to form return. Silicone sealed into bespoke stainless steel frames, supported by structural steel subframe.

Cladding:
Backpainted glass to walls, canteen and lift lobbies.

Fixing

Staircase and lantern as above.
Backpainted glass bonded to walls in servery area using mirror adhesive.

Lantern Framework consisted of custom designed 'hook system' developed by Excel Architectural Engineering Ltd.
